Balfour Beatty has been recognized by The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Florida, First Coast Chapter with its “Project of the Year” and Eagle Award in the institutional $25 million to $100 million category for the recent completion of Jacksonville Transportation Authority’s (JTA), Jacksonville Regional Transportation Center (JRTC) at LaVilla.

The Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) has recognized Howard S. Wright, a Balfour Beatty company, with two 2020 Design-Build Project/Team National Merit Awards for the Bellevue College Student Success Center and King County Children and Family Justice Center Phase 1A projects.

Balfour Beatty’s US Civils team safely achieves more than four million hours without a lost time incident in the southeast operating region. This safety milestone and record celebrates five years of safely delivering construction projects and the company’s commitment to its Zero Harm culture to protect the safety and well-being of project teams, trade partners and the public.

“The Hub,” Alaska Airlines’ new 128,000-square-foot corporate office by general contractor Howard S. Wright, a Balfour Beatty company, recently opened in SeaTac. The six-story building will accommodate approximately 600 employees and houses the Seattle-based airline’s 24/7 operations facility and other business functions for the West Coast’s largest carrier.

Engineering News Record (ENR) has named Balfour Beatty the Southeast’s No. 1 contractor in the education market sector for 2020. The industry publication’s annual Top Contractors list ranks firms based on national, region and market sector-specific revenue from the previous year.

Balfour Beatty has started demolition and construction activities for the Atlanta Mission’s Restoration House, the first low-barrier day shelter designed to serve Atlanta-area women and children battling homelessness.
