Balfour Beatty Joint Ventures Selected to Renovate Crowley ISD Schools in Texas

FORT WORTH, TEXAS – Two Balfour Beaty joint venture teams have been selected to renovate multiple campus buildings and construct a new middle school for Crowley Independent School District (ISD) in Fort Worth, Texas.
Balfour Beatty, in joint venture with GCC Enterprises, was selected to deliver $100 million in renovations and additions to North Crowley High School and North Crowley’s 9th Grade Center. Designed by VLK Architects, the project features 150,000-square-feet of additions and renovations including classroom additions, cafeteria expansion, courtyard renovation, classroom flooring replacement, athletic additions, library refresh and more.
Balfour Beatty has a 90 percent share in the joint venture with GCC Enterprises holding 10 percent. The full contract award is expected in September 2024 and scheduled for completion in December 2026.
In an 80:20 joint venture, Balfour Beatty with Alpha and Omega Industries has been selected to construct a new, $80 million middle school for Crowley ISD. The project features a 190,000-square-foot facility that will accommodate approximately 1,100 students. Full contract award is expected in Spring 2025 with construction activities scheduled to start in April 2025.

Balfour Beatty has provided construction services and K-12 expertise to surrounding school districts in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for over 25 years, including the delivery of the 532,000-square-foot Braswell High School in Denton ISD, the three-story Walker Middle School in Little Elm ISD and Evans Elementary School athletic renovations in Allen ISD.
