Alaska Airlines Copper River - Phase I
The
Alaska Airlines (Alaska) Copper River – Phase 1 project involved the concurrent
build of a six-story, 130,000 square foot Class A office building, an eight-story,
255,000 square foot parking garage, and intricate custom landscape and
hardscapes on Alaska’s seven-acre site. The complex is across the street from
the corporate headquarters and adjacent to its flight training center. This
project kicks off the start of several phased construction projects built to
connect those working across the Alaska Airlines campus, bringing frontline
workers together with the corporate employees and leadership. The new LEED
Silver office building accommodates approximately 600 employees and houses the
Seattle-based airline’s 24/7 operations facility and other business functions.
The
building has open office design concepts with several team huddle and meeting
rooms and various-sized multi-purpose and conference spaces. “Tilden Hall”, the
two-story atrium space, is dedicated to the longtime CEO, Brad Tilden, and is
utilized as a work-flex space in addition to a large meeting area. The office building
features a wood-clad grand staircase with stadium seating and a decorative
steel and wood glulam intercommunicating staircase on levels two through six. The
project also includes the newly built retail store and uniform fit center, providing
new and existing employees a centralized location to try on and customize their
new uniforms.
The parking garage structure includes 800 stalls and a façade designed to mirror the architectural features of the office building.
