Howard S. Wright to Deliver Renovations for Oregon City, David Douglas and Tigard-Tualatin School Districts

PORTLAND, Ore. – Howard S. Wright, a Balfour Beatty company, is delivering a slew of bond-funded K-12 renovation projects across Oregon, helping school districts modernize learning environments.

The work spans multiple school districts, including David Douglas School District, Oregon City School District and Tigard‑Tualatin School District, and will be carefully phased to support uninterrupted school operations while improving safety, accessibility and long‑term performance of existing buildings.

In Portland, Howard S. Wright is delivering renovations for the David Douglas School District focused on deferred maintenance, system upgrades and enhanced safety across multiple campuses. Major project elements include HVAC upgrades, electrical and generator improvements, fire alarm replacements, secure entry vestibules and specialty learning space renovations. Construction activities are underway at Gilbert Park Elementary School and Earl Boyles Elementary School. This work builds on renovation projects the company completed at West Powellhurst Elementary School, Floyd Light Middle School and South Powellhurst facilities in 2025.

Howard S. Wright is also advancing Phase 2 renovations for Oregon City School District, which include improvements at King and Candylane elementary schools and Career and Technical Education spaces at Oregon City High School. The work addresses aging infrastructure, accessibility needs and modernization of learning environments through cafeteria expansions, kitchen replacements and other facility enhancements. The team has also been selected to deliver the district's next phase of improvements, including renovations at Redland Elementary School and Pioneer Stadium beginning in 2027.

In Tigard-Tualatin School District, Howard S. Wright is renovating Edward Byrom Elementary School and Mary Woodward Elementary School. Improvements include accessibility upgrades, modernization of building systems, refreshed learning environments and enhancements to campus entries and building envelopes designed to improve functionality, efficiency and the overall student experience.
