Balfour Beatty Announces Leadership Promotions in Georgia

ATLANTA & SAVANNAH, G.A. – Balfour Beatty announces the promotions of Roger Schwerin and George Uschold to vice presidents of operations in Georgia. These appointments are a direct reflection of Balfour Beatty’s commitment to recognizing top talent and elevating the company’s leadership bench strength to meet the expanding needs of clients in the commercial, multifamily, hospitality, education and special projects markets in Atlanta and Savannah.
Roger Schwerin joined Balfour Beatty in 2012 and leverages an extensive background of superintendent experience and passion for strong communication, detailed planning, quality control and safety best practices. In his new role as vice president of operations in Georgia, Roger provides executive leadership over Balfour Beatty’s commercial sector in Atlanta including company’s special projects operations. Roger also plays an integral role in employee development across Georgia ranging from college recruitment, overseeing Balfour Beatty’s robust internship program and employee training.
A Balfour Beatty teammate since 2002, George Uschold serves as vice president of operations where he provides executive leadership support to teammates in Savannah while leading the company’s multifamily sector across the low country region and military housing market sector. George has more than 35 years of experience in the industry and is known for his ability to drive operational excellence and consistently delivering on promises for repeat clients. Additionally, he has a passion for mentoring and developing the next generation of builders.
