The W Ft. Lauderdale (luxury hotel/ condo) has been remodeled in three broad phases.
Phase one (hotel work) included first floor lobby, pool and pool deck upgrades (including bar) and interior bridge connecting the hotel and condos. Upgrades included living room lobby, outdoor terrace and sushi bar.
Phase two included a motor court, exterior upgrades and new entries into both the hotel and condo lobbies.
Phase three condo remodeling included general lobby, corridor and elevator lobby upgrades with carpeting, flooring, porcelain tile, painting, millwork and decorative tile. Water walls were renovated on the first and fourth floor corridor with new tile, lighting and woodwork. Part of the fourth level parking deck has been converted into a junior ballroom (4,000 SF). BOH efforts provide employee cafe, warming kitchen, locker rooms, bathrooms and office space.
An impressive element of this project is meeting the schedule despite starting late. It required aggressive, long hours to accomplish. The project was primarily broken out into three phases of work to allow completed portions to be turned over earlier to the owner.
