Balfour Beatty is an equity member of the Regional Rail Partners joint venture responsible for the design and construction of phase one of the North Metro Rail Line commuter rail extension from Denver Union Station to 124th Avenue. 

Phase one of the commuter rail project provides for the design and construction of a 12.5-mile extension of the existing rail line, six new stations and associated infrastructure. 

When completed, the North Metro Rail Line will run from Union Station through Commerce City, Thornton and Northglenn to State Highway 7 in North Adams County.
