The scope of this project includes the selective interior demolition of a five-theater movie plex on the 3rd floor of Ballantyne Village, consisting of approximately 26,000 square feet and 800 seats total. The project also includes the addition of a six-stop elevator cut into the existing steel and concrete structure, plus excavated pit in garage, two remote terminal units (RTU's), terminal units, ducts, and sprinkler system on 3rd floor under new 4th floor floor system. In addition, the team cut exterior walls and installed windows into the entire face of north and east elevations on 3rd and 4th Floors. The project required the infill of approximately 20,000 square feet of steel with concrete on metal decking, the installation of complex ACM panels with compound angle intersections and the installation of switchback stair from the second floor to the third floor with glass vestibule on both floors.
