      President, Mid-Atlantic
      Relentless Ally since 1987

      With more than 35 years of experience, Mike has been part of the Balfour Beatty team since 1987. Currently, he serves as president for the company’s Mid-Atlantic team. During his career, he has overseen construction of more than 45 projects totaling $4B and more than 11 million square feet.

      David Laib has nearly four decades of experience and serves as senior vice president and business unit leader for the Mid-Atlantic team. David has provided executive oversight on more than $2.3B of work, including many high-profile projects in the healthcare, government, corporate office, hospitality, higher education and residential markets.

      Senior Vice President, Operations
      Relentless Ally since 1983

      With more than three decades of construction experience, Matt has led many successful projects for the company. As senior vice president of operations in the Mid-Atlantic, Matt has established himself as a dedicated, caring, committed and focused professional. He has earned repeat clients and numerous unsolicited reference letters, on both private and public sector projects. 

    • Richard Ryan

      Senior Vice President, Operations
      Relentless Ally since 2001

      As senior vice president of operations for Balfour Beatty’s Mid-Atlantic team, Richard has provided executive leadership oversight for some of the company’s largest federal projects to date. With more than three decades of construction industry experience, Richard has an extensive background in quantity surveying and managing large construction projects.

      As vice president of human resources, Anna-Lisa provides multifaceted insight to a variety of human resources programs, policies and practices that enhance the employee experience and help grow the organization. She embraces the significance of attracting and retaining the finest people in the industry and promotes an environment where everyone can excel.

      Bob has been part of Balfour Beatty’s Mid-Atlantic team for 18 years, successfully delivering hundreds of millions of dollars of work as project executive. He personifies the role of a relentless ally with our clients and business partners. With an impressive 46 years of experience, Bob embodies the spirit of a servant leader always putting the needs of others first.

      Vice President, Finance
      Relentless Ally since 2015

      As vice president of finance, Amy is a core asset and serves as a strategic business partner to Mid-Atlantic leaders and operations teams. Amy has the unique ability to assess current processes and streamline accordingly so her teammates can successfully connect more closely with the business.

      Vice President, Business Development
      Relentless Ally since 2017

      George has more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry and a portfolio of $2 billion of construction work in the Mid-Atlantic region. He is passionate about creating and strengthening relationships with clients and design professionals, staying engaged throughout the project life cycle and ensuring client satisfaction.

    • Sean Graham

      Vice President, Operations
      Relentless Ally since 2004

      Sean has 16 years of construction industry experience with Balfour Beatty where he has contributed to some of the Mid-Atlantic team’s premier projects. Sean originally joined the firm as a project engineer after graduating from the University of Virginia with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. Since then he has risen through the ranks on projects including 200 Twentieth Street, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and The Bartlett. Sean has demonstrated an innate ability to lead, solve problems quickly, and build solid relationships with clients. He was the recipient of Balfour Beatty’s 2016 Mid-Atlantic Relentless Ally Award in recognition of this dedication to client service and operational excellence.

    • Art Malacarne

      Vice President, Operations
      Relentless Ally since 1999

      Art brings over 22 years of construction experience to his role as vice president of operations. His career has focused on operational excellence in a variety of vertical markets including corporate office, education, residential, and mixed-use. Art is a team player; his collaborative mindset was recognized with an NGA Campus East “Star Partner Award” in recognition of his extraordinary efforts in support of the project's "One Team" partnership mission and goals.
       

    • Rebecca Nordby

      Vice President, Operations
      Relentless Ally since 1997

      Rebecca has more than 21 years of local experience leading large construction projects in the Washington, D.C. area. Most notably, Ms. Nordby has been overseeing the construction of the Capitol Crossing project and previously led the first phase of the high profile U.S. Capitol Visitor Center. Rebecca has a reputation for technical excellence, client service, and an ability to manage highly complex projects.

    • Dan Novack

      Vice President, Operations
      Relentless Ally since 2000

      Dan joined Balfour Beatty in 2000 as an office engineer and rose through the project management ranks prior to joining the Business Acquisition department in 2014. He served as purchasing director for two years and led the Business Acquisition department for four years as vice president. Under his leadership, Balfour Beatty secured an average of $935 million per year of new work. Dan is known for building and managing high-performing teams with an emphasis on open communication. The 20 years working in the business has shown him the importance of developing new relationships and nurturing those of long standing. His experience includes many high-profile projects, including the NGA Campus East Headquarters, U.S. Capitol Visitor Center, Dulles Airport West ATS Station and 15 Gate Expansion and 1700 New York Avenue. 

    • Alex Palacios

      Vice President, Operations
      Relentless Ally since 1998

      Alex has 29 years of experience and a portfolio including many first-class office buildings such as the National Science Foundation Headquarters, National Public Radio, Station Place - Building 3 and 1700 New York Avenue in Washington, D.C. In 2015, Alex was promoted to vice president of operations for the company’s Mid-Atlantic team. Consistently a top performer, Alex achieves operational excellence at the highest level. 

    • Jason C. Tomasulo

      Vice President, Legal
      Relentless Ally since 2016

      Jason is the Mid-Atlantic’s vice president of legal affairs. He has a passion for construction law and nearly two decades of experience, including contract negotiation, project counseling, and dispute resolution. He is a strategic business partner to the leadership team, advising on legal matters and managing risk, transactions, and compliance.
