Working together to make a greater impact

The team walked with one goal in mind—a fighting chance for every baby.

Thirty-one team members from Balfour Beatty's Fort Worth office walked three miles in support of the 2017 Texas March Of Dimes, March For Babies, which promotes research and education focused on helping women have full-term pregnancies and healthy babies.

March of Dimes is a nonprofit, voluntary health agency whose mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature births and infant mortality. Babies need all the help they can get. Premature birth affects about 380,000 babies here in the United States.

In fact, our Fort Worth team member Brent Blake, and his wife Lisa Blake credit the incredible research and and resulting medical advances by March Of Dimes for ensuring their daughter Lindsey, born a preemie, is now a typical teenager who swims like a fish and shows no signs of her too-early beginning.

Balfour Beatty Construction was proud to participate in the 2017 Texas March Of Dimes, March For Babies. The team walked with one goal in mind—a fighting chance for every baby.
