Putting Our Construction Skills to Good Use

Each year, Balfour Beatty Construction employees volunteer their time to transform the home of someone in need. They do this through the Dallas Area Chapter of Hearts and Hammers, a non-profit organization formed in 1986. Balfour Beatty’s employees have supported this organization for more than 20 years by donating their time to make needed repairs to a deserving community member.

This year’s event was held over two sunny weekends in September. Thirty-five Balfour Beatty Construction teammates donated their time and talents to perform some urgently needed home repairs for a local retiree who has worked for the City of Dallas for many years. Our team of volunteers scraped and painted the house, cleaned up the yard and built a new storage unit, back porch and wheelchair ramp. Our trade partners routinely join us, lending much needed hands and expertise to each home we improve.
