Always multi-tasking and bouncing from the office to the jobsite, Frank Fotia has spent the last ten years blazing a trail within Balfour Beatty. His energetic leadership style and ability to juggle multiple assignments, and manage them well, led him from Charlotte to Atlanta, where he was called upon to play a significant role on the iconic Coca-Cola Workplace 2020 program. As preconstruction continued at Coca-Cola, Frank was asked to lend interior build-out expertise on the widely-known Westin Atlanta interior renovation. Additionally, he led the Canon Norcross Distribution Center addition and renovation prior to mobilization at Coca-Cola. Following completion of the $110 million build-out of the “Main Street” phase of the Workplace 2020 program, Frank was called back to lend his expertise in the office market. He continued to earn the respect of leadership and his peers, completing the highly successful 309 East Paces project, a transformation of the old Aaron Rents building into a creative loft-style office space positioned for today’s marketplace. This new build led to the management of multiple concurrent tenant renovations within the building.
Frank has been a key contributor in securing new projects, such as the Vanguard Truck Center of Atlanta - winning over clients with his conscientiousness approach. Currently channeling his energy into the office market, while also leading Balfour Atlanta’s efforts to expand its Special Projects Group, he is continually identifying new ways to support Balfour Beatty’s growth in the Atlanta marketplace, and his impact extends well beyond the jobsite.
As senior project manager, it would seem managing workload and multiple clients’ expectations may be a full-time job; however, Frank always opens the door to opportunity. In addition to his day job, for the past three years, he has led our Atlanta office's college recruitment efforts, coordinating attendance at local career fairs, training teammates to recruit and even participating in interviews as a way to help Balfour Beatty identify new talent. His involvement has led to a greater interest in Balfour Beatty amongst college recruits where the company has been able to convert many of our talented interns into full-time employees.
Not stopping there, Frank has also dedicated numerous hours over the past four years to lead our Atlanta office’s efforts to partner with Make-a-Wish Georgia through their annual Walk for Wishes event. One of the top contributors annually, Balfour Beatty’s contributions to Make-a-Wish Georgia have totaled more than $200,000 in the past four years alone. This level of impact would not have been possible without Frank’s leadership and willingness to rally the troops for the annual campaign.
A natural talent with a competitive spirit, Frank is driven to succeed, and succeed he will. As a Relentless Ally for the company, Frank Fotia exceeds all expectations and strives daily to deliver his best.
