Balfour Beatty US Promotes Anna-Lisa Brown to Vice President of Human Resources in the Mid-Atlantic

WASHINGTON –
Balfour Beatty US has promoted Anna-Lisa Brown to vice president of human resources in the Mid-Atlantic. In this role, Brown leads the Mid-Atlantic office’s organizational and people-related responsibilities, including recruiting, training and talent development. As an instrumental member of the company’s U.S. human resources leadership team, she contributes to the corporate direction on a variety of strategic and long-term projects including change management, engagement, retention, and human resource service delivery goals.
Brown has more than 15 years of experience and joined Balfour Beatty in 2014 as director of human resources. As vice president, Brown provides multifaceted insight to a variety of human resources programs, policies and practices that enhance the employee experience, grow the organization and minimize corporate risk. She embraces the significance of attracting and retaining the finest people in the industry and promotes an environment where each and every individual can excel.
Brown is involved in numerous organizations, including the local D.C. Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) known as the Human Resource Association of the National Capital Area (HRA-NCA) and the Washington Building Congress (WBC). She is an advocate for the advancement of women in the industry and is an active member of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Northern Virginia, serving on the board of directors throughout 2015 and 2016. Brown earned her Bachelor of Science in human services from Virginia Tech.
