Balfour Beatty set to build Houston Energy Center Four
February 10, 2014
HOUSTON
– Trammell Crow Company and Principal Real Estate Investors have selected Balfour Beatty Construction as general contractor for Energy Center Four, located in Houston’s Energy Corridor at the southwest corner of Interstate 10 and North Eldridge Parkway.
As the second tower of this complex, it includes a 22-story, 598,000 rentable square foot, Class AA office building, with a stand-alone, 2,300-car parking garage. It is pre-certified Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Gold for core and shell.
Balfour Beatty began working on Energy Center Four in December 2013 after months of preconstruction and planning with Trammell Crow Company and Kirksey Architecture. Other project team members include Cardno Haynes Whaley, Wylie Consulting Engineers, Walter P Moore and TBG Partners.
“Balfour Beatty is honored to continue our partnership with the Trammell Crow Company and the entire team and look forward to contributing to the growth of the Energy Corridor and the Houston area” said John Waltz, senior vice president of large projects in Balfour Beatty’s Houston office. “We’ve built a strong relationship and are committed to delivering an exemplary project.”
