    Balfour Beatty Named Top General Contractor by Dallas Business Journal and San Diego Business Journal

    Dallas – The Dallas Business Journal (DBJ) and the San Diego Business Journal (SDBJ) has named Balfour Beatty the top ranked general contractor (GC) in North Texas and San Diego. The DBJ and SDBJ’s Top Contractors list, published annually, ranks both publicly and privately held general contractors based on construction revenue.  
     
    Balfour Beatty’s team in North Texas was named Top GC by DBJ consecutively in 2016, 2017 and 2018. In 2020, the company’s North Texas operations earned over $1 billion in revenue and is currently delivering notable projects including The Link at Uptown, I-635 East renovations and upgrades and the Denton ISD Ray Braswell High School additions.
     
    As part of SDBJ’s Top GC recognition, Balfour Beatty’s San Diego operations was awarded $535 million in contracts in 2020. Among the notable projects Balfour Beatty’s teams are currently delivering Chula Vista Elementary School District’s New Elementary Village No. 3, a 64,000-square-foot elementary school valued at approximately $31 million.
