Balfour Beatty Construction’s Dallas office hosts 4th Annual Night of Comedy and brings big smiles to local nonprofit

    September 10, 2014

DALLAS – Dallas employees unleashed their comedic genius on August 20-21, 2014, during the 4th Annual Dallas Night of Comedy held at Hyena’s Comedy Club at Mockingbird Station. The event was attended by more than 400 guests and raised over $25,000.00 for PediPlace, a local not-for-profit pediatric clinic, bringing the total contribution to $40,000.00 over the past two years.

The annual event is sponsored by numerous Dallas area A/E/C firms. This year’s Gold sponsor was BakerTriangle, and the Silver sponsor’s were LASCO, Harmon Innovative Façade Solutions, and Gentzler Electric.

“PediPlace is a wonderful organization that provides quality medical care at low fees for children who are uninsured or receive Medicaid or CHIP (Children’s Health Insurance Program) benefits. With generous support from the A/E/C industry and PediPlace’s relationship with HCA, the organization was able to secure a location, design, build, and open a new clinic in Dallas County with the capacity to serve an additional 4,000 area children,” states Jeff Brannen, senior vice president and chief legal officer for Balfour Beatty Construction’s Central Region. “Thank you to everyone involved in making the Night of Comedy such a huge success. This year’s event ensures that we are one step closer to making healthcare a reality for every kid,” shared Jeff.
