Balfour Beatty Celebrates Opening of $95.5 Million Fort Worth Hospital
November 12, 2014
Fort Worth, TX
- Balfour Beatty Construction recently celebrated the opening of its latest project in
conjunction with Neal Richards Group on behalf of Forest Park Medical Center, a Texas-based physician-owned hospital system. On November 3, 2014, Forest Park Medical Center Fort Worth officially opened to patients after conducting a grand opening ceremony the week prior attended by Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price, along with project developer Neal Richards Group, general contractor Balfour Beatty Construction, project architect Perkins + Will, and the facility’s physicians, nurses and staff.
“This is the second Forest Park Medical Center campus Balfour Beatty has built with Neal Richards Group in North Texas. We recognize Forest Park’s commitment to providing health care of unsurpassed quality and appreciate the opportunity to assist them in the delivery of a cutting-edge healthcare facility in Fort Worth,” shared Read Ballew, Balfour Beatty’s vice president of operations in the Fort Worth office.
Forest Park Medical Center Fort Worth is a 150,000-square-foot hospital containing 12 full integrated operating suites; full-service imaging center and laboratory; 54 private inpatient rooms, including family suites; six intensive care rooms; full ancillary services; peaceful outdoor spaces; and vegetated roof systems. The approximately $95.5 million project includes development of the hospital, medical office building and a 550-space parking garage.
“This project was highly successful, and Balfour Beatty Construction truly lived up to our definition of a trusted partner,” said Neal Richards Group’s Nick Summerville. “We look forward to working together again in the future."
