Balfour Beatty mixed-use hotel project breaks ground
March 22, 2018
From Bennet Benner Partners’ website:
Dolabi Family Partnership and Bond Partners are pleased to announce the groundbreaking of a new hotel and residential property in Fort Worth’s Historic Near Southside District. The new mixed-use project will feature a 138 room boutique hotel, 17 extended stay suites, a signature restaurant and bar along Magnolia Avenue, a rooftop lounge and events space, 15 condominiums, a park and a 409-space parking garage. The hotel, which will be independently operated, is currently scheduled for a late 2019 completion.
“This project represents the next stage of Magnolia Avenue’s regeneration and builds on the enormous progress that has been made there since the early 90’s” said Architect Michael Bennett. “This will be a hotel like none other currently in the Fort Worth market and will showcase all that the Near Southside has to offer.”
The project’s location, on the corner of Magnolia Avenue and South Henderson Street, is in the heart of the eclectic Near Southside and a short walk away from the numerous independent restaurants and bars situated along Magnolia Avenue. The hotel is also a short drive away from Fort Worth’s burgeoning medical district, TCU, Dickies Arena, the world-renowned Cultural District, downtown Fort Worth’s business and entertainment district and the Fort Worth Convention Center.
