Siemens Real Estate, Inc. and Corporate Facilities Service, owner agent, recently selected Balfour Beatty Construction Raleigh business unit to provide general contracting services for a new Class A, mid–rise office building in Cary, North Carolina. Estimated at $34 million, the 150,000–square–foot, six–story project will achieve Silver LEED Certification or higher.
In addition to the main building and parking structure, the project includes a separate, upscale dining facility of approximately 7,300 square feet. The new construction will offer a covered–entry promenade, as well as a precast and glass fa√ßade with a signature architectural element at the main lobby. Construction is expected to be completed by early 2010.
