John joined the company in 2004 as a Division Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President for the company’s operations in the Southeast. In this role, he was responsible for the success of financial processes, reporting, and forecasting, as well as the evaluation and management of risk. In 2010, he was named President of the company’s operations in the Carolinas, supporting consistent sales growth and profitability across commercial, retail, education, and government sectors. In 2012, John was promoted to the role of CEO for the East Region, overseeing and leading the company’s Carolinas, Military Housing, Georgia, Florida, and Washington, D.C. divisions.
Before joining Balfour Beatty, John worked for J.A. Jones, Inc., where he held the positions of Vice President - Finance & Accounting, Manager of Market and Strategic Development, and Manager of Business Development. Born and raised in the Philadelphia area, John has lived in North Carolina for nearly 20 years. He holds an M.B.A. with a concentration in finance from Indiana University, a B.A. in Economics and Accounting from Wake Forest University, and is a licensed CPA.
