In 2009, RT Dooley, one of Charlotte's most reputable local contractors, was acquired by Balfour Beatty Construction. In December 2010, this successful teaming evolved even further as the two businesses became known in the marketplace as one Balfour Beatty brand. Our commitment to Charlotte goes beyond the projects we build. Balfour Beatty and its employees are actively involved in service activities and annually donate our time and funds to many of Charlotte’s most recognized non-profit organizations. By way of example, Charlotte employees pound the pavement each September in support of The American Heart Association’s “Heart Walk” taking a stand against heart disease and helping save lives. Over the past two years, our team has collectively raised more than $30,000 funding education awareness and research initiatives for The American Heart Association.
